Jamie Cuthill is Colorado’s most successful piper.
Jamie is the 2015 and 2017 Western U.S. Professional Solo Piping Champion.
He has competed globally in bands and solos, and achieved prizes in Scotland, Canada, and the United States.
Jamie is the director of the Colorado Youth Pipe Band, and in 2023 retired from competing with pipe bands after leading Queen City Pipe Band since it’s inception.
His competitive students are regularly featured in the prizes, and his non competitive students are very successful at achieving their goals.
Along with his playing and teaching, Jamie is also a top tier piping adjudicator, and sits on the music board of the Western United States Pipe Band Association.
In 2021, Jamie was honored with life membership to the Western United States Pipe Band Association for his efforts to improve Colorado’s piping over his
Jamie has been playing for 30 years, and has been trained by the finest instructors in the world.
With hundreds of performances at weddings, funerals, graduations, private parties and more, Jamie has also played for Olympians, celebrities, and television appearances internationally.
Jamie teaches students of all ages and abilities. He has remained committed to, and passionate about, teaching, competing, and performing from his earliest days on the pipes.
